Fire Prevention Week is Sunday, October 6, through Saturday, October 12. Several Tuolumne County events are planned during Fire Prevention Week.
Tuolumne County Fire, CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit, and the Groveland Community Services District will host a First Responder and Public Service Day at Mary Laveroni Park in Groveland on Sunday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will highlight public safety messages and services available to Groveland area residents and visitors. Agencies will have booths, provide information, interactive activities and demonstrations, and food will be available for purchase.
Fire Prevention Week will end with open houses at Mono Village Fire Station 51, Cedar Ridge Station 58, and Jamestown Station 76 on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign is “Not every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape.” Attend these events to learn actions you can take to keep yourself and your family safe.
