Welcome to the new Highway 108 Fire Safe Council website. This site provides information to keep your family and home fire safe.
Please browse through the site. You will find information about the Council and some of the numerous shaded fuel breaks and other projects the Council has completed during its 16-year history.
Under Resources, you will find documents, links, and videos providing information on a range of topics, including defensible space, home fire safety, evacuation for you and your pets, and safeguarding important documents and financial information in the event of a disaster. There’s also information for kids.
While browsing Links, be sure to sign up for the Tuolumne County Citizen Alert System to be notified of fire evacuations, weather events, and other emergencies.
Under Documents, we also have a section of information on non-fire hazards, such as preparing for extreme heat, preparing for a power outage, and preparing for winter storms.
The FAQs provide answers to questions on topics, such as defensible space, California Public Resource Code Section 4291, debris burning, evacuation notifications, and numerous other often asked questions.
