Notice of Request for Proposals – Belleview / Kewin Mill Fuels Reduction Project

CAL FIRE Grant No. 5GG23220

The Tuolumne Fire Safe Council (TFSC) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to perform fuels reduction work for the Belleview / Kewin Mill Fuels Reduction Project in Tuolumne County, California.

The project is intended to reduce hazardous vegetation and fuel loading along portions of Kewin Mill Road and Big Hill Road and in the vicinity of Belleview Elementary School. Work may include mechanical mastication, hand treatment, lop-and-scatter, piling and burning, chipping, and other authorized fuels reduction activities, as specified in the Request for Proposals (RFP).

The project includes mapped treatment boundaries and designated environmental and resource-protection areas. Actual treatable acreage will depend on field conditions, access, environmental restrictions, and other site limitations. Contractors are responsible for reviewing the RFP and project maps, evaluating site conditions, and including all anticipated equipment, mobilization, demobilization, and related costs in their proposals.
